Hydropneumatic shock absorber installed on the left main landing gear of applicable Mi-8/Mi-17/Mi-171/Mi-172 configurations. It absorbs landing and taxi loads through hydraulic damping and nitrogen compression. Piston/rod surface, seals, fluid leakage, gas charge and overhaul documentation should be checked.
